Amelia Josephson

Manager

Amelia brings a deep commitment to promoting financial health through cross-sector collaborations to her role as a Manager on the Program Team. Her experience in the financial health field includes work in municipal government and the startup world.

Previously, Amelia served as a Policy Analyst at NYC’s Office of Financial Empowerment. At OFE, Amelia published research, organized convenings, and coordinated policy strategy on topics including student debt and access to credit. Before joining OFE, Amelia worked at the financial technology startup SmartAsset, where she developed financial education web content.

Amelia grew up in Anchorage, Alaska and moved to New York to attend Columbia University, where she earned a B.A. magna cum laude in History and Hispanic Studies. She also holds an MPhil with distinction in Latin American Studies from the University of Oxford, which she attended as a Kellett Fellow. She now lives with her husband in Brooklyn, where she enjoys walks and picnics in Prospect Park.
