Felicia Kennedy

As a Senior Accountant, Felicia creates, implements, and maintains policies and procedures that produce timely and accurate financial data. She was inspired to join the Financial Health Network in February 2022 so that she could contribute to the organization’s mission of financial health for all and advance its culture of equity and inclusion. 

In her role, Felicia provides accurate, consistent financial data; supports the ongoing review and refinement of accounting procedures; and serves as the Finance team liaison for internal and external clients. As she continually works to strengthen the Finance team’s foundation, she enjoys collaborating with colleagues across the organization to provide financial support. 

Before joining the Financial Health Network, Felicia was a Senior Accountant at the Children’s Home & Aid Society of Illinois, where she converted all accounting procedures to electronic forms and partnered with department leads to increase financial comprehension throughout the agency. She also worked to increase efficiencies, reduce discrepancies, and boost productivity while a Senior Accountant at the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society and Cision US, Inc.

Felicia earned a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from DePaul University. An avid volunteer, she has been a member of the Chicago White Sox Volunteer Corps since 2009 and the Chicago chapter of Indivisible, a social movement organization, since 2017.
