Claudia Schaffranka

Claudia Schaffranka is Co-Head of the Policy Center at the Leibniz Institute for Financial Research SAFE in Frankfurt. Before joining SAFE, she spent three years as an economist and later senior economist at the German Council of Economic Experts, advising the German government. There she worked on European capital markets and private pensions, including Germany’s Frühstart-Rente. Earlier in her career she was a consultant at the Boston Consulting Group. She holds a PhD in Finance from the Frankfurt School of Finance & Management, where she lectures on risk management.
