Marco Chavarín is a Senior Program Officer at the Citi Foundation, where he oversees strategic partnerships across the Foundation’s U.S. portfolios and programs, including the ABC Initiative (Asset-Building for Children), the 2026 Housing Supply RFP as part of Citi’s Blueprint for Housing Opportunity Initiative, and broader asset-building efforts.

Prior to joining the Citi Foundation, Marco served in the City and County of San Francisco’s Office of the Treasurer, Office of Financial Empowerment, where he worked to launch nationally recognized initiatives such as Bank On San Francisco, payday loan alternatives, and efforts to connect families to financial coaching.

Marco holds a Bachelor of Science in Community and Regional Development from the University of California, Davis.
