Cassandra Burton is a though leader, researcher, and educator with deep expertise in aging, inclusion, and nonprofit leadership. She currently serves as a Consumer Insights Manager at AARP, where she provides content and subject matter expertise on internal and external aging issues, with a focus on, people with disabilities, veterans, African American/Black adults, and older LGBTQ+ people.

Cassandra previously served as Interim Director of Thought Leadership, supporting AARP’s wealth disparities strategy, and as Interim Senior Manager for the People with Disabilities Audience, where she helped support the People with Disabilities strategic plan.

A compelling public speaker and storyteller, Cassandra is a sought after voice. She is currently pursuing a PhD in Public Policy and Administration, with a research focus on health equity.
