Jimmy Chen is the Founder and CEO of Propel. They are the creators of the free Fresh EBT mobile app, which enables EBT cardholders to manage their benefits, save money, and find jobs. Fresh EBT is used by over 3 million low-income Americans across the country each month. Propel’s supporters include the Financial Health Network, Andreessen Horowitz, Kevin Durant, and Serena Williams. Jimmy previously held roles in Product Management at LinkedIn and Facebook, and he founded Propel to use the tools of Silicon Valley to fight poverty. Jimmy went to Stanford University and lives in Brooklyn, NY.
