Nadia van de Walle


As a Manager on the Programs Team, Nadia leads consulting engagements and research with the goal of improving consumer financial health. She is passionate about reducing inequality and improving people’s economic lives. She enjoys working with diverse marketplace stakeholders and being at the nexus of technology, behavioral economics, and policy-making.

Prior to joining the Financial Health Network, Nadia held several roles in analytical research, strategy, and advocacy for global economic empowerment. At InterMedia, she led a portfolio of access to finance projects, providing clients with actionable insights based on qualitative and quantitative studies. She also previously worked at Accion’s Center for Financial Inclusion, where she managed Africa programs and partnerships, working with financial service providers, governments, and nonprofits to advance financial sector development and protect consumers in emerging markets.

Nadia earned a BA in Political Science from the University of Pennsylvania and a Masters in Economics from the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies. She resides in Washington, DC with her husband and daughter. Outside of the Financial Health Network she appreciates the outdoors, visiting her family in Europe, and exploring DC’s many cultural offerings.
