Roy Elis is Director of Economic Insights and Impact at Chime, where he leads a team focused on measuring consumer financial health, understanding how macroeconomic conditions shape consumers’ financial lives, and assessing how Chime’s products drive measurable improvements in financial outcomes.

Prior to joining Chime, Roy spent over a decade in education, including conducting research on student learning and teacher effectiveness in leadership roles at Amazon and Teach For America, and teaching middle school math in New York City for three years.

He holds a Ph.D. from Stanford University.
