Ralph Bumbaca
Ralph Bumbaca is Executive Vice President and Regional President for Metro New York at TD. With more than 35 years of experience in banking and financial services, he leads one of TD’s largest markets, overseeing strategy and business performance across the New York metropolitan area. Known for bringing together colleagues, clients, and community leaders, Ralph has built a reputation for aligning business growth with strong customer relationships, disciplined execution, and meaningful community impact. His collaborative leadership style and deep understanding of the New York market have helped strengthen TD’s presence while advancing opportunities for businesses, neighborhoods, and communities across the region.
Over the course of his career, Ralph has led teams through periods of significant change and helped position organizations for long-term growth. Since joining TD in 2010 as Regional Vice President for Brooklyn, he has taken on a series of increasingly senior leadership roles, including Regional Vice President for Manhattan North and Manhattan and Commercial Market President for New York City. Along the way, he has helped deepen collaboration across business lines, strengthen client relationships, and execute strategies that support responsible growth in one of the nation’s most competitive financial markets.
Ralph is passionate about developing talent and building strong leadership teams. He is known for coaching leaders, creating opportunities for career advancement, and cultivating an inclusive, high-performing culture that empowers colleagues to deliver their best. He works closely with partners across Retail, Commercial Banking, Wealth, Small Business, and corporate functions to ensure coordinated execution of TD’s strategic priorities and seamless customer experience. Throughout his career, he has also balanced growth with disciplined risk management while fostering a culture rooted in accountability, collaboration, and exceptional customer service.
Prior to joining TD, Ralph held senior leadership positions with NatWest USA, Banco Popular, Mellon Bank, Bank of New York, and Chase, where he developed broad expertise across commercial banking, corporate finance, healthcare lending, and regional market leadership.
A lifelong New Yorker, Ralph is deeply committed to strengthening the communities where TD operates. He has served on the boards of numerous nonprofit and business organizations, including the Boys & Girls Club of Metro Queens, Business Initiative Corporation of New York City, Manhattan Chamber of Commerce, Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce, and the Anne Saxelby Legacy Fund. Under Ralph’s leadership, the region has expanded partnerships that advance affordable housing, small business growth, workforce development, financial education, and the arts.
Ralph’s leadership and commitment to expanding opportunities have been recognized by organizations across New York, including Legal Outreach, which honored him with its 2026 Corporate Educational Champion Award on the Bank’s behalf. He has also been recognized by City & State New York’s Manhattan Power 100 (2022, 2023, and 2024), Responsible 100 Alumni (2024), and Outreach NY as its 2023 Humanitarian of the Year. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Brooklyn College.
