Amanda Fried

Amanda Fried is Chief Assistant Treasurer of the San Francisco Office of the Treasurer & Tax Collector, where she oversees Banking, Investments, Cashiering, and nationally recognized Economic Justice initiatives that have helped thousands of San Franciscans build financial security. She leads the Office’s policy, communications, and customer service work, and has spent years designing programs at the intersection of tax administration and economic inclusion, from children’s savings accounts to fines and fees reform, demonstrating that government finance offices can be powerful engines for equity. Her career spans city government in San Francisco and New York, grounded in a conviction that financial health is a justice issue. She holds degrees from Stanford and NYU Wagner.
