As Chief Actuary at Ladder, Liam is building instant, simple and smart life insurance to help close the coverage gap for 50 million families in the US. 
Prior to Ladder, Liam was the founder of digital impact-investing startup Swell, a subsidiary of Pacific Life. As a pioneer of creating access to financial services, Liam built typhoon and drought insurance for farmers in the Philippines and India with MicroEnsure. For Old Mutual, he led the development of rechargeable life insurance in South Africa. Liam is a graduate of the University of Cape Town and a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries
