Carman is a Human Resources leader that brings over 20 years of experience in Human Resources Management, leading all aspect of human resources including alignment of best practices and organizational strategy. Carman’s passion in HR is in the areas of talent strategy, HR planning, change management, cultural transformation, and leadership development. Carman has served in various human resources leadership roles in several nonprofit organizations in the Chicagoland area, specifically healthcare, pre k – 8 education, senior services, social services, and most recently, broadcasting. Carman has a Bachelor of Arts degree from Saint Xavier University in Chicago, IL. She also has a Masters of Art in Industrial Organizational Psychology from Roosevelt University also in Chicago, IL.
Carman maintains her balance by spending her free time, traveling with friends, exploring the diverse neighborhoods of Chicago, and participating in dedicated spiritual practices such as meditation, tai chi, and creating artwork. Carman has developed her skills as an illustrator and painter. Finally, Carman dedicates a lot of her free time mentoring local college student in developing job readiness skills and resume building as they exit college.
