As Director of Operations in the Shared Services department, Claire leads technology strategy, legal and insurance operations, facilities management, and administrative processes. With a background in social services, nonprofits, and education, Claire joined the organization to support the development of evidence-based programs and tools that can advance the well-being of low-income families and communities.

Claire works closely with internal business leaders to ensure access to operational solutions, integrated systems, hardware, and administrative support, while advocating for a culture of fiscal responsibility and risk mitigation. In her role, she has devised technology strategies to address current and future organizational needs, and managed relationships with outside legal counsel to mitigate risks, control costs, and secure high-quality service. Claire also supports the Board of Directors on strategic and governance oversight, engagement, and administrative initiatives.

Before joining the Financial Health Network, Claire worked as an Administrative Project Manager leading technology, facilities, and administrative functions for Youth Outreach Services, a social services nonprofit. She also taught fifth grade at Plato Learning Academy in Chicago’s Austin community and volunteered as Finance Co-chair of the Young Nonprofit Professionals Network of Chicago.

Claire earned a master’s degree in Teaching and bachelor’s degree in Public Policy at the University of Chicago. She is an avid public radio listener and supporter, especially of Kai Ryssdal’s financial health discussions on American Public Media’s Marketplace.
