Jasmyne Beckford

Jasmyne Beckford is the Director of Inclusive Communities at Prudential, where she provides strategic leadership and oversight of the company’s place-based portfolio focused on advancing inclusive economic growth and mobility for Newark residents. Since stepping into this role in October 2025, Jasmyne has led efforts to invest in the people, places, and possibilities that fuel Newark’s vibrancy and prosperity. She joined Prudential in May 2022 as a Program Manager in Inclusive Solutions, where she played a pivotal role in developing strategic partnerships centered on education, workforce development, asset building, and engagement with Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs). Jasmyne’s work reflects her deep commitment to fostering equitable opportunity and driving meaningful impact in communities.

Jasmyne also serves on the board of The Council of New Jersey Grantmakers as First Vice-Chair and co-chairs the Newark Funders Committee, reinforcing her dedication to economic and community development as well as economic mobility. In addition, she sits on the Asset Funders Network New Jersey Chapter Steering Committee. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in American Studies from the University of Maryland at College Park and a Master’s degree in Public Administration from Rutgers University Newark.
