The Center for Financial Services Innovation (CFSI) has an ambitious goal: to improve the financial health of Americans, with a focus on those who are struggling and underserved. For over 10 years, CFSI has developed insights and research on consumer financial behavior and ways to improve it, building a network of product and service providers committed to this vision. Until now, our work with nonprofits has focused on organizations that are primarily serving the financial needs of their clients. However, with a broadened focus on financial health, we understood that to reach scale and increase long-term impact, we needed to get smarter about nonprofit service providers outside of our existing network. The is infographic reflects our New Market Development Initiative Case Study, which presents an exciting opportunity for CFSI to think broadly about nontraditional financial service providers and innovative and large-scale distribution channels.
