Zhivago Velasco

Zhivago Velasco is the VP, head of Strategic Product Innovation within the MassMutual U.S. Workplace Product organization. In this role, he is responsible for the strategy, ideation and design of financial wellness solutions for the Workplace business. He is the inventor of the patent pending MapMyFinances holistic guidance tool, the cornerstone of MassMutual’s financial wellness program.

He also recently launched multiple solutions to help customers with short-term and long-term financial needs like emergency savings, student loan debt and health savings accounts. Prior to this role, Mr. Velasco had various responsibilities including product management for the mid-market and institutional retirement plans and product development of their retirement plan health, retirement readiness and retirement income guidance solutions. He has over 20 years of experience in the institutional retirement plan business focused on 403(b), 401(k), 457, Stable Value and Retirement Income. Prior to joining MassMutual, he has held similar roles at Hartford Life and ING US Financial Services
