Trevor Rozier-Byrd
Founder and CEO at Stackwell
2023 EMERGE Insights, 2024 EMERGE
Trevor Rozier-Byrd first joined the EMERGE community in 2022 as part of the Financial Solutions Lab Accelerator, introducing Stackwell Capital – a fintech company he founded to advance opportunity for Black Americans through tech, community, and empowerment. Since then, he’s remained a consistent voice at EMERGE, sharing insights in 2023 and 2024 sessions on designing equitable financial products and addressing wealth disparities across generations.
As Founder and CEO of Stackwell, Trevor continues to lead with purpose. The platform combines automated investing with culturally relevant financial education to support Black Americans in building long-term wealth and financial confidence. His mission has grown through partnerships with HBCUs, nonprofits, and pro sports teams – and most recently, through a powerful new collaboration with the Social Change Fund United (SCFU), co-founded by Carmelo Anthony, Dwyane Wade, and Chris Paul.
In April 2025, Stackwell and SCFU, in partnership with the National Basketball Players Association, launched the Visionary Ventures Program in Los Angeles. Focused on small business owners impacted by wildfires, the program delivers financial education, grant funding, and long-term support, proving that with the right tools and access, scalable change is possible in the communities that need it most. Marla Bilonick
President & CEO at National Association for Latino Community Asset Builders (NALCAB)
2023 EMERGE Insights
At EMERGE 2023, Marla Bilonick shared her insights in an engaging discussion, “Community-Based Approaches to Driving Impact: The Power of Local Financial Institutions.” Marla explored how local financial institutions can transform communities. Today, she continues that mission as President and CEO of NALCAB, the leading network of Latino-serving CDFIs and nonprofits focused on building community wealth.
With over two decades of impact in small business development, community finance, and inclusive economic policy, Marla’s leadership has helped shift the national conversation. In 2022, she became the first Latina – and only the second woman – to chair the U.S. Treasury’s CDFI Fund Community Development Advisory Board, completing her term in 2024. Most recently, she joined a powerhouse panel at the CDFI Coalition Institute, championing the outsized economic returns of CDFIs and their role in an inclusive future.
Now, NALCAB is entering a bold new chapter. Guided by its new 2025–2027 strategic plan, the organization has launched a refreshed brand rooted in its “4 Cs: Capital, Capacity, Collective Voice, and Comunidad.” Alongside new tools and a redesigned website, NALCAB also seeded the FIRE Fund with $100,000 of its own capital to support members in crisis.
Marla also recently co-authored an op-ed with Robert Wood Johnson Foundation’s Zoila Jennings, highlighting the massive opportunity for everyone that lies in investing in Latino communities.

Arlo Washington
President & CEO at People Trust Community Federal Credit Union
EMERGE 2024
When Arlo Washington took the EMERGE stage in 2024, he brought more than insight – he brought a movement. Featured in the Oscar-nominated documentary short “The Barber of Little Rock,” Arlo’s journey from neighborhood barber to CEO of People Trust Community Federal Credit Union is a masterclass in community-rooted financial innovation.
As founder of both the credit union and the People Trust Community Loan Fund, Arlo’s mission is clear: eliminate financial barriers and create real, equitable change. Under his leadership, these institutions have distributed tens of millions in small business relief, expanded access to credit, and built a model for inclusive lending from the ground up.
In April 2025, Arlo joined an electrifying lineup at ASU+GSV’s LightningX, sharing the spotlight with icons like Ayesha Curry, Colin Kaepernick, and CNN’s Rosa Flores. His session, “Rewriting Economic Narratives: From Little Rock to Systemic Change,” lit up the stage – and reminded the audience that grassroots leadership still shapes the biggest rooms.
From Little Rock to the national spotlight, Arlo’s voice is helping rewrite the rules of economic justice.
