U.S. Financial Health Pulse 2018 Baseline Survey Data Set And Questionnaire Conditions Of Use

Data Set

  1. These data are the property of the Center for Financial Services Innovation (CFSI) and the University of Southern California (USC). The signatory agrees not to sell, share, or distribute the data or portions of the data to other individuals or entities.
  2. While making these data generally available, CFSI reserves the right to deny usage rights to any individual or organization for usages deemed inappropriate.
  3. Any information in the data concerning individual persons, households, enterprises or institutions will remain confidential. Users will not publish any information about individuals that could serve to identify them, alone or in connection with other information. These data will not be combined with other data that could serve to re-identify individuals. No attempt will be made to re-identify the data.
  4. Any public citation of these data or analysis based on these data should acknowledge the data source as: “The analysis presented in this publication relies on data from survey(s) administered by the Understanding America Study, which is maintained by the Center for Economic and Social Research (CESR) at the University of Southern California. These data are part of the 2018 Baseline Survey from the U.S. Financial Health Pulse, run by the Center for Financial Services Innovation (CFSI). The content of this paper/article/etc. is solely the responsibility of the authors and does not necessarily represent the official views of USC or CFSI.”
  5. Public citations of the data will include only aggregated frequencies, percentages, or the results of statistical analysis. Any other type of citation will be cleared with CFSI in advance.
  6. Public citations that meet all of these criteria need not be approved in advance, however any journal articles, conference papers, blog posts, book chapters, presentations, and other publications that cite these data should be shared with CFSI via this email address: pulse@cfsinnovation.org.
