Managing Director, Head of Emerging Growth Segments Consumer & Community Banking JPMorgan Chase

As the Head of Emerging Growth Segments, Matt is responsible for general management of the Youth & Family, Starter, Lower Mass and Elder Vulnerable Persons businesses, with the aim of driving market share growth, delivering the P&Ls, and improving the product offering, end-to-end customer experience and deepening across CCB for customers in these four segments.

Matt was previously head of Consumer Banking Product Development and Innovation, and was responsible for the development of deposit products, firmwide deposit and debit platforms, branch and ATM. Prior to that, he was head of digital for Consumer Banking. He joined JPMorgan Chase in August 2016 to run product for Finn, Chase’s all-mobile bank, for which he was responsible for its end-to-end customer experience. Before joining JPMorgan Chase, Matt was at PayPal for nine years in Product and Strategy roles, including head of Consumer Product Strategy, co-head of PayPal’s global P2P business and head of Global Product Launch. Prior to PayPal, Matt was in quantitative marketing consulting in which he served clients such as Wal-Mart, The Home Depot, and Disney. Before business school, Matt worked at a private firm on pro-social initiatives for The White House.

Matt earned an MBA as a Fulbright Scholar at the University of Oxford and a BA with High Honors, Phi Beta Kappa from Wesleyan University in Connecticut.

Originally from Boston, Matt currently lives with his husband Javier, son Ben, and dogs George and Woodrow in Irvington, NY.
