Lata N. Reddy is senior vice president of Inclusive Solutions at Prudential Financial and chair of The Prudential Foundation, where she leads the company’s strategy to advance inclusive economic opportunity while driving business growth. In this role, she deploys philanthropic and investment capital, and corporate capabilities to deliver measurable financial and social outcomes at scale.

Reddy oversees an integrated platform that brings together impact investing, philanthropic grantmaking, corporate contributions, and community engagement. Under her leadership, Prudential became one of the first institutional investors to build and actively manage a $1 billion impact investing portfolio, demonstrating that market-rate returns and positive social outcomes can be achieved simultaneously. She also oversees The Prudential Foundation’s $40 million in annual grantmaking and $13 million in corporate contributions.

Her leadership approach is informed by a career spanning the private, public, and nonprofit sectors, grounded in a longstanding commitment to equity and inclusion. Prior to joining Prudential, Reddy served as a civil rights attorney with the U.S. Department of Education—an experience that continues to shape her focus on inclusive growth and systems-level change.

Beyond Prudential, Reddy is widely recognized for her civic and nonprofit leadership. She serves as chair of the Newark Alliance and the Newark Downtown District, and sits on the boards of several national organizations, including the Alvin Ailey Dance Foundation and UNICEF USA. She also serves on the Advisory Council for the My Brother’s Keeper Alliance, an initiative of the Obama Foundation, and is a fellow of the Aspen Global Leaders Network. In 2020, she was appointed to Mayor Ras J. Baraka’s Newark Reopening and Recovery Strikeforce, where she led the Economic Recovery Committee.

Reddy holds a Bachelor of Arts in economics from the University of Michigan and a Juris Doctor from Emory University School of Law.
