As the Creator & Executive Producer of Opportunity Knocks, Strayer made history when it became the first public television series to win an Academy of Reality Television Award, earning the title of Best Feel Good Show of 2024. The PBS series, recognized with 15 global and national honors, highlights real families overcoming financial challenges with the help of nonprofits and community partners.
Strayer founded a firm that secured $1 billion in funding for CDFIs, delivering unprecedented capital access to underserved communities. She also created The Opportunity Initiative, the largest economic mobility campaign in U.S. history, and owns the Emmy-winning series Biz Kid$. Her groundbreaking work has touched millions of lives and transformed communities nationwide.
