Ellary Makuch

Ellary works for LISC Houston as a Program Officer – Economic Development. Her role includes supporting community organizations that help families and small business owners with career growth, financial stability, and access to benefits. Ellary’s planning experience has spanned municipal and local government roles in housing, community development, strategic planning, disaster recovery, and communications. Prior to that, she spent almost five years teaching English in Japanese junior and senior high schools.

Ellary holds a Master’s degree from the University at Buffalo, and a BA in Sociology from Ithaca College. In her free time, she enjoys outdoor adventures, reading, and practicing guitar.
