Carman serves as Chief People Officer for the Financial Health Network, aligning organizational strategy with best practices to help deliver on the mission of financial health for all. Drawing on her 20+ years of experience in HR, Carman oversees talent strategy, HR planning, change management, cultural transformation, and leadership development for the organization.

Before joining the Financial Health Network, Carman held HR leadership roles at Chicago-based nonprofits in a number of industries, including healthcare, K-8 education, services for older adults, social services, and, most recently, broadcasting. 

Carman has a bachelor’s degree from Saint Xavier University and a master’s degree from Roosevelt University. Outside of work, Carman enjoys traveling with friends, exploring the diverse neighborhoods of her city, participating in dedicated spiritual practices such as meditation and tai chi, and developing her skills as an illustrator and painter. Carman also serves as a mentor to local college students, helping them prepare their resumes and develop job readiness skills.
